Remember that last post I had, saying that I thought Benjamin would forever have coach Chris as a soccer coach? Ha! Well, there seems to be a change of events. Waldorf Soccer Club (WSC) was (maybe still is) in dire need of coaches in almost all the age groups, for boys and girls. The fellow in charge of setting up stuff saw Rick's name as assistant coach for Ben's team. The rest was history. He called Rick up to ask him if he would be willing to coach his son's team. Rick said yes. I have to say, it's been quite cute watching Rick purchase items he will need for coaching, getting his folder together, practice tactics, etc. The last thing we purchased was a set of pop up goals from Ebay...LOL Benjamin knows two boys on the roster. Other than that, we shall see. Rick had asked for a team parent if he could. Well, can you believe he actually got someone to volunteer for that already??? We've not even had the first practice yet. Rick was able to obtain the practice field he chose AND the weekdays and times at that. I predict a sweet season start, once the ground dries up that is. :-P

Andrew will be getting Coach Keith Colon....the coach he had a year ago. This man produced a well oiled machine for a team. He pours his heart into his boys he coaches and it shows. He is gentle, yet effective. Andrew was the best at his game under Keith's coaching. It will be great to have him back again. Though, the worry is the pressure he is already placing on his own son and Andrew. He basically told Rick that he is looking to these two to LEAD their team. So pray on that if you could. Andrew's lungs are not as strong as he would like. Wish I could train with him and run...but I never was a runner. *sigh*

I plan to do better about taking pictures of this year's soccer season for BOTH boys, seeing as I may (for the first time in THREE years) be free from being a team parent. Please, someone pinch me.
