I never was good at this....

Long time, no read. :-p   

Let's see...Ben has done a year of travel soccer.  It was a good experience, even though he did not re-make the team for this next season.  Keeping raw emotions in check, he has grown as a soccer player and I do value this experience.  He made his only three goals of the season all in one day recently when his team participated in a sand soccer tournament in Ocean City, MD.  Most of the regular season, he was goalie, and did an excellent job.

So now we move on to rec soccer.

The boys both had probably their best grades ever in school together.....Andrew having had only one extremely high B at all in the 3rd quarter in Algebra, the rest A's.  Needless to say he was an all A student.  Ben ended up with the last two quarters with straight A's, a first for him as well.  For handling travel soccer and school like that, which does not come easy to Ben, kudos....
Andrew did another school year of DI and again the team went all the way to TN for Global Finals!!  So proud of this accomplishment.  :-))

So next school year we have a 4th grader and 7th grader on our hands.  *sniff*....and in January, a teen!  How does this happen.  Can't believe my "Bubba" will be 13...

In the beginning of May, the boys put their money together and bought a lab/beagle mixed dog.  Her name is Vanilla Bean Gausepohl.  She has been a project and a half.  We are approaching the stage of wondering if we are ALL worthy dog owners.  Praying we can skid by this puppy stage okay and everything works out.  She is so cute....she just may get a pass on that fact alone.  She was born February 28th, 2012....which makes her nearly 4 months old...



Coming up the 2nd week in July, we are going on the yearly family vacation, but to somewhere new to us.  Myrtle Beach!  We have now 3 differemt people we will be visiting while there.  Should be a grand time.  I will try and do better with pictures from that trip.  :-)
