Today has to be the hottest day of the year (or will be). So the school year ended well for both boys, again bringing home straight As, like in the 3rd quarter. It was funny, Rick had me fooled that Andrew somehow had a B on his report card. I, like a bird brain, never checked the report card until a week later--only to find actually ALL As! :-P So proud of them both with making those marks and balancing the other aspects of their lives. <3
Andrew did the two tryouts for travel soccer. He thought it went okay, but not spectacular. Apparently, he may be right. We have heard nothing back. No news I guess would mean he didn't make the cut. Benjamin goes for RecPlus U8 tryouts on June 30th and July 8th. Same sort of deal. Guess we'll see what happens after that.
Rick and I have a system of phyiscal therapy going here....he goes in the mornings and I go after work. I should say most of the days that I end up having to take a couple of hours of leave each time to go. Not sure how the shoulder is for him, but I feel a great difference in my heel with mine. It's not a miraculous erasure of pain as I thought it would be. But the lessening of pain is at least better than the alternative. The money out for each co-pay is the only pain of the day. :-D
Vacations coming (like we really have time to squeeze those in....)....But the first is an extended July 4th weekend to Covington, KY to see Rick's family once again. Leaving the 2nd and driving back on the 6th. I'm really hoping in this way, we will avoid the traffic coming BACK. Lots to squeeze in on the 2nd, including the boys' physicals at noon. Before all that on the same day, I am truly hoping to catch up with Heidi, who will be in town very briefly, in the morning. And then somewhere along the way there is that whole packing up of the CRV and waiting for Rick's (hopefully early) arrival home from work so we can hit the road. LOL
Rick just informed me that the weekends in between us coming back from KY and then going to Ocean City MD the last day of July into the first week of August will be all used up pretty much due to work. Rick's place of employment secured a great new contract...200 plus machines...and they all need setting up and running by the end of July. *Mission Impossible music* Well, at least going to the beach as a family will be the reward for hard work and sacrifice away from the family all of July. LOL Maybe we can delay celebrating his birthday a couple of weeks so that he can fully enjoy it.
Then I come back into working just weekdays, but non-stop for 2 plus months. Coming back smack-dab into a filing period (actually a week into it). Then, somewhere before August ends, school starts back up again. And that folks, is the end of the summer. LOLOL Oh and then soccer....yeah...I'll shut up now....
